2. Scope

These terms govern the use of the smart-retrofit.ro website and any distance contract concluded through it. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and accepted them.

The applicable legal framework includes Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 on consumer rights in distance contracts, Government Emergency Ordinance no. 140/2021 on the sale of goods and associated guarantees, Law no. 365/2002 on electronic commerce, and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

3. Products

We sell aftermarket multimedia accessories for motor vehicles. The products are not manufactured, endorsed or authorised by the vehicle manufacturers. Model names are used solely to indicate compatibility.

Product images are illustrative. Interfaces shown on screens are examples and may differ depending on software version.

4. Prices

Prices are expressed in Romanian lei and include VAT at the standard rate of 21%, in accordance with Law no. 141/2025. The price applicable to a contract is the one displayed at the moment the order is placed.

In the event of an obvious pricing error we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund any amounts paid in full.

5. Placing an order

1. You add products to the cart and complete the order form.
2. Before final confirmation you are shown the total to be paid, including all costs.
3. You receive an email confirming receipt of the order. This confirmation does not itself constitute acceptance of the order.
4. The contract is concluded when we confirm dispatch.

We may contact you before dispatch to verify that the product is compatible with your vehicle.

6. Payment

Payment may be made by card online, processed by NETOPIA Payments, or cash on delivery. Card data is entered directly into the payment processor's secure, PCI DSS certified page and is never accessible to us.

8. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have 14 calendar days to withdraw from the contract. See the Returns and withdrawal section.

9. Conformity and warranty

See the Warranty section for the legal guarantee of conformity and the commercial warranty.

10. Fitting

Products are supplied for Plug & Play installation, but fitting requires removing dashboard trim and the head unit. We provide instructions and technical support. Damage resulting from incorrect fitting is not covered by the commercial warranty.

11. Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the products purchased. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Romanian law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12. Intellectual property

The content of this site — text, images, structure — belongs to SMART RETROFIT S.R.L. and may not be reproduced without written consent. Third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners.

13. Complaints and dispute resolution

Complaints may be sent to comenzi@smart-retrofit.ro and receive a reply within 30 days. See the Consumer protection section for out-of-court resolution options.

14. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. As a consumer you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of the country in which you are habitually resident.

15. Changes

We may amend these terms. The version in force at the time your order is placed is the version that applies to your contract.
